泰国《星暹日报》：东盟中国青年交流频繁 双边关系更趋稳固 Thailand newspaper:

中新社南宁六月二十日电(记者 蒋雪林)新加坡青年企业家周士锦今天在此间幸运地与中国两位世界冠军切磋球艺，他们分别是广西籍的乒乓球世界冠军谢赛克和羽毛球世界冠军吴文凯。

Singapore youth entrepreneur Elim Chew had the luck today to pick up pointers with 2 world champions, they are namely Guangxi's table tennis champion Xie Sai Ke and badminton champion Wu Wen Kai.

能与世界冠军零距离接触，周士锦非常感谢中方组织的中国—东盟青年营活动。在她看来，这次到中国广西参加这一活动收获非常大，她既交了两位世界冠军朋友，又在广西找到了商机，获得了拓展企业业务的机会。

To be able to interact with the world champions up close, Ms Elim Chew feels thankful for the organizers for the China-ASEAN Youth Camp. In her opinion, this trip to China, Guangxi has allowed her to gain a lot, making friends with world champions, and also finding business opportunities to expand her business.

周士锦是和东盟十国的一百五十八名青年朋友于十八日来到广西的。他们将在广西开展为其六天的交流活动，在经济、体育、文化等领域与中国青年进行对话，以增进双边的友谊和了解。

Ms Elim Chew is one of the 158 youths from 10 ASEAN countries to arrive in Guangxi on the 18th. The youths will engage in a 6 day youth exchange comprising of sports, economy, culture etc. Discussions will be held to boost relations and understanding.

此次青年营活动，缘起中国总理温家宝的倡议。中国—东盟青年营活动已经举行了三届，此外，中国还先后在广西举办十期东盟青年干部高级研修班，为东盟国家培训青年骨干三百七十八名，这些交流逐渐对中国和东盟双边关系产生了积极的影响。

The idea of this youth camp was advocated by Premier Wen Jia Bao. China-ASEAN Youth activities has been held for 3 times, and besides, China has held ASEAN Youth Group meetings 10 times in total, to train 378 youths, these interactions has allowed China and ASEAN countries to gradually develop acute interest.

柬埔寨在校大学生郑文珍和周士锦一样有很多收获。她说，参加这次中国—东盟青年营活动，对中国有了很直观的了解，虽然只来到广西两天，但已经和负责柬埔寨代表团翻译的中方工作人员李庆芬成为了很好的朋友。青年是国家的栋梁，青年间增进了解，对稳固双边关系有着长远的意义。

Cambodia's undergraduate Zheng Wen Zhen has benefitted as much as Ms Elim Chew. She said, taking part in this round's China-ASEAN Youth Camp has allowed her to directly observe and understand China. Even though she's only been in Guangxi for 2 days, Ms Zheng has already forged good friendship ties with the country's Chinese translator volunteer Ms Lee Qing Fen. Youths are the country's pillars, she said, and getting youths to increase mutual understanding will stabilize both countries' wish of developing lasting ties.

“这样的交流活动将使中国和东盟的关系变得更加稳固。”新加坡代表团团长洪艺菁说，中国和东盟加强青年交流，使青年们建立了网络，让双方的青年们在年轻的时候就建立了深厚的友谊，这样将使中国和东盟的双边良好关系更加牢不可破。这些青年才俊将来非常有可能成为他们国家某个领域的领袖，有的甚至进入国家领导层，有这样的友谊做基础，他们在决策时将拓宽视野，更多地考虑对方的立场。

"Exchanges of this type will allow China and ASEAN ties to become stronger and more lasting," said Singapore's delegation leader Angeline Ang Yih Ching. Forging good ties between China and ASEAN will allow the youths to establish good networks and youths from both sides would have developed rather strong bonds of friendship in their early years, reinforcing ties between China and ASEAN countries. these youths will possibly become the countries' young leaders, and some may even end up as leaders of the countries. With this kind of strong ties available as a foundation, they will think more of the countries concerned when making big decisions.

事实上，中国和东盟领导人都非常关心双方青年一代的交流。在二00三年的中国—东盟领导人会议上，温家宝总理即倡议建立中国与东盟青年部长会议机制，以促进双方青年交流。温家宝的倡议得到东盟领导人的积极响应，中国与东盟双方二00四年九月在北京成功举办了首届中国—东盟青年事务部长会议，并通过了《中国—东盟青年合作北京宣言》和《首届中国—东盟青年事务部长会议后续行动计划》。此后，中国和东盟的青年交流日趋频繁。

In reality, China and ASEAN leaders are both concerned about the interaction between their youths. In 2003's China-ASEAN leaders' meeting, Premier Wen Jia Bao suggested establishing China and ASEAN countries' youth camp to boost interactions from both sides. Premier Wen Jia Bao's suggestion was well received by the ASEAN leaders, and hence China and ASEAN countries held the first China-ASEAN Youth Camp in Beijing in 2004 September. Exchanges between China and ASEAN youths became more and more frequent since then.

正如中国社科院亚太经合组织与东亚合作研究中心副主任陆建人所言，青年合作是中国与东盟合作的重要内容。青年一代之间的交流有利于增进中国与东盟各国的友谊，促进国家间经济、文化的交流与合作，为国家关系的发展奠定广泛的社会群众基础。通过东盟和中国青年间的不断交往，中国人民与东盟各国人民之间的友情变得越来越牢不可破了。

Just like what Mr Lu Jian Ren, the vice president of the research center, jointly opened by The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, School of Economy's research center and ASEAN said, youth collaboration between China and ASEAN countries is of most importance. Youth interaction has the advantage of boosting ties between both sides, and boosting the countries' economy as well as cultural exchanges, in order to maintain ties between countries. Through ASEAN and China youths' continuous interaction, Chinese and ASEAN members has forged strong bonds.

缅甸代表团团长逢吉让先生的话代表了此行所有人的心声。他说：“今天我们在这里相聚，目的就是使中国和东盟迈向更美好的未来。”完
