东盟十国青年代表到防城港 北海开展港口青年友好交流活动

ASEAN Youths arrive at Fang Cheng Gang, Beihai for an exchange activity

6月21日，东盟各国的青年代表先后来到防城港电厂、防城港20万吨码头、防城港集装箱码头等地参观，详细了解防城港市的经济建设和社会发展情况。

On 21st June 2008, ASEAN youths from the various countries arrived at Fang Cheng Gang power plant, Fang Cheng Gang wharf etc and had a detailed understanding city of Fang Cheng Gang's situation in economic development and social development.

　　6月22日，东盟各国的青年代表与600多名北海青年代表来到北海市大冠沙湿地，一同种下了“２００８中国—东盟青年营纪念林”，以6000棵象征绿色与希望的红树林来表达共建生态海湾的决心。

On June 22, ASEAN youths, together with more than 600 Beihai youth representatives gathered in Beihai's swampy areas and planted 6000 mangroves (which signify hope and greenery) together, representing “2008 China-ASEAN Youth Camp commemoration forest”.

Singapore's youth entrepreneur Elim Chew, " This is like we've planted our sincerity in this side of China (Beihai), in remembrance that we will always be one big family with China."

　　陪同访问的中华全国青年联合会和广西青年联合会的领导还与东盟各国青年事务高官就建立中国与东盟港口青年的友好交流新机制，进行了研究和磋商。东盟各国青年代表表示，广西北部湾经济区宏大的项目建设场面、争分夺秒的建设速度、井然有序的建设管理给他们留下了深刻的印象。他们将积极配合中华全国青年联合会，努力把广西北部湾经济区打造成为中国与东盟港口青年合作的新平台、新高地。

Accompanying the interview, All-China Youth Federation (ACYF) and the Guangxi Youth Federation's leaders also established new platforms to achieve good ties with ASEAN senior business officials. Delegations leaders commented that Guangxi's North side's economic zone has been building up at a very fast pace, and the systematic construction has left a deep impression on them. The leaders will cooperate with ACYF and push Guangxi's North area to become the new platform for further cooperation between China and ASEAN countries.

　　为期两天的时间里，东盟各国的青年代表与防城港、北海的青年代表还开展了丰富多彩的文体活动，拓展各国在经济、文化、教育等方面的合作与交流。

In these two days, ASEAN youths has participated in different cultural activities and discussions with Fang Cheng Gang and Beihai youths to develop each countries' economics, culture, education etc.
